Faith

This is the record, not the highlight reel.

Every hard thing in my life has been handled in the quiet. That is what I inherited and it is what I was handing down. These posts are the correction — the confession written where somebody else can read it, because James 5:16 does not say confess to God and feel better. It says confess to each other, so that you may be healed. The healing is attached to the part where somebody else knows.

So what goes here is what I got wrong, what it cost, and what I am doing about it. Real numbers when there are numbers. The weeks it goes well and the weeks it does not. Written most weeks, because obedience keeps a schedule whether or not I feel like reporting in.

I am not writing from the far side of anything. I am writing from the mat.

What Finished While I Waited

Week four. The lead died, the MBA landed, the loan is dead, and the scale went the wrong way.

The Man on the Mat

Week one. The number, the payday loan, and the discovery that my arrogance looks exactly like competence.
